About

Pocket Offline started as a shared notes file between three friends who kept recommending each other games for long train rides. We were tired of installing something on the platform, only to hit a login wall or a permanent 'connecting...' screen. So we began keeping a list of titles that genuinely run offline, and the list turned into this site.,We're a small independent editorial team. Nobody here writes press releases. When we cover a game we install it, play it for several sessions, and note down what actually happened — where it got boring, where the controls fought us, where we lost track of time.,Games make it into the catalog only if they work with airplane mode on. We test each one with the connection off for at least a couple of days. If a game quietly needs the internet to save progress or unlock content, it doesn't belong here and we say so.,We don't take payment to review or rank anything. Ratings are the honest opinion of whoever played the game, and we sometimes disagree with each other in the comments of our own drafts. That's fine — it usually makes the final piece more useful.
